come tell me about the magical animal called DEGU

I have 2 cats, 4 rabbits all very well looked after dare I say spoiled rotten!

I am [shockhorror] adopting a degu today!! I have been doing research all day but I would love some more information/first hand accounts!! Anybody?

oh and I need names ideas! She is 5 months old. My cats are Yin & Yang, rabbits are Stardust, Angel, Moonlight, Celeste.

i had one a few years ago the shop said it was a boy and it had 5 babies!
they are very cute you need a huge cage for them they eat chinchilla food and need a sand bath if they bit you it hurts alot and bleeds alot too!
try to handle it as much as you can they are very livley but keep an eye on it when your holding it as mine found a hole in the armchair and we had to cut it out the chair! good luck!

thanks!! we picked her up tonight & named her Callisto! She is FAB! We had a good long cuddle & probably will again before bed. She is such a friendly little thing. We are going to get her a little friend (same sex!) from RSPCA as they are very lonely alone. I can see why she is a very social, nosy little girl!!
