Really I am not joking!

We trained Fred (18 week old Labradoodle) to go to the toilet in one part of the garden only - over the other side of the driveway so not near to where the kids play.

But now she won;t go on her own - we have to put her on the lead and walk her over there or she just sits at the back door crying!

Please someone tell me what to do - I feel a fool out there at all times of the day in my night clothes waiting for the dog to do a bloody wee or a poo.

And I know she is doing great for her age just wondered if someone had wise words to help.

Does she wee on command? I taught my boy to wee when I say 'go do a wee' by giving him a treat when he does it. Perhaps if she did it on command you could instruct her from the back door. iyswim

Have to confess I have usually had another older dog when I get a puppy so, once the pup is used to going out they go out together

Yours is still very young though, and at that age I was still accompanying my pup on his toilet excursions.
