We just bought a puppy - DS and DH want to call it Elvis but it is a girl!

Humph!!!

We went to see some this morning - and even DH went all gooey and signed up straight away - although can't pick it up until 6th Dec as I have to have op next week and will be out of action for 5 days!

Asked all the questions you clever mumsnetters mentioned and got fab responses - doggy will be 11 weeks when we pick it up - she is paper training it and walking it around the garden on a lead at the mo - they are kennels so I suppose they know all about dogs - she is going to get its next jab done for us too.

It is not the ones that we realised was dodgy after you clever mumsnetters said it sounded dodgy that they were really old and had been microchipped but not vaccinated!

elvis is a great name! you might start a trend?

at least at your puppy socialisation/training classes nobody else will have a girl called elvis

but you might be joined by owners of boy puppies named Whitney and Madonna

Penny is nice as is Presley (but DH hates Elvis - the King not the stupid one so that would be a no no!)
