Is paper dangerous to dachshunds?

We used to have a dog that would chew any paper or tissue it could find, I can't see what the harm would be but he wasn't a dachshund.

Our dog would eat homemade buns in paper cases: He just passed "ready wraps"!

We have a mini dachshund and he has eaten a lot worse. A standout example was an igloo cat bed, not all at once thankfully.
