Please, does anyone know how to tackle the problem of over-grooming by a pet? My cat Zazie, who I adopted 10 months ago, just won’t stop grooming and eating the hair from his back. He now has several bald patches on both sides of his spine. He then swallows the fur which, along with his regular food, results in large hairballs which he then regurgitates. He’s settled in very well, he’s not under any sort of stress; there’s just me and him in a nice, quiet, safe space. I even have a special ‘calming’ scent diffuser for him in the bedroom. I’m at a loss as to know just what to do next. Have any of you had experience of this and, if so, how did you handle it? Thank you!
