First time poster, so hopefully I’m doing this right…
I would like to find out what works for you dog food wise when take your dog camping please?
My dog has Able, a raw food, normally, but this doesn’t work well when camping.
I’m yet to get a car fridge thing, and that may just have to be what I do, but so far I’ve tried transitioning her over to other, non-fridge/freezer needing foods for camping (air dried, dehydrated), and then back again. Trouble is, she does ok initially, then refuses to eat it.
We’ve tried Wilson’s (flat no pretty much), innocent hound (was ok when mixed for a day or so, then just no).
She’ll eat Forth Glade, trouble is, ideally it needs to be refrigerated after opening, we managed it being in a cool bag and in the shade well enough for day two, and in a heat wave, however, her stools are somewhat softer after that food though, it’s kind of pate like texture. So, I’m not sure this is the answer really for me either.
If you’re a camper, (and without a van and fridge etc.,) and you normally do raw food, what do you do? What’s your strategy?
Many thanks in advance! 🙏
