how to intruduce my cats to New dog?

We "might" be getting a dog. She came for a visit yesterday and is coming again on Monday. She belongs to my friend and we both want to make sure its the right choice for all. I have 2 cats. 1 is a big softy, the other is scatty
How do I intruduce them to the dog?

Let them do their own thing and just supervise really. They need to work it out for themselves what is or is not going to acceptable between them. Things are usually a bit more tense at the start of course than the longer term is likely to be, but you will get some sort of idea if it is just excitement from the dog to meet them, or aggression. Usually if a cat is not so happy around the dog they mellow a bit in time, but that is not a guarantee of course. Go with your gut feeling about it all probably.
