What are your best products for living with a dog

Two dogs and I feel like a am fighting a forever battle against mud, hair and doggy smell! What are your best cleaning or other products, gadgets for keeping a clean house with a dog (or is it a losing battle?)

Mine were a fleece jumper for wet/muddy days, wiping paws on entering, dirt trapper mats, ikea boot tray for sitting food/water bowls on to catch spills and raised bowls to stop him flipping the bowls over. He could be a little bugger, but I still miss him.
