Our 11 year old greyhound has got chronic kidney disease, stage 2 according to the vet. We've got him on renal kibble/biscuits with reduced amount of meat and he's still got a good appetite. Also daily pills called telmisartan but no idea if they are doing anything. Occasional weeing on the floor in the night and often wants to go out in the meddle of the night.
Can you please say what diet your doggie was on? Any medication? How often did your pet need more tests? Could they hold on through the night? Did they slow down a lot? Can you recommend anything in managing the disease?
