2 year old male neutered cat started peeing on my bed after loss

Hello. Sadly we lost our little girl kitty to heart failure two weeks ago. We had her and her brother from the rescue. They were very bonded.

We brought her home after being put to sleep so her brother could see her.

We have given him lots and lots of attention. Not changed his routine but every few days he pees on my bed. Only mine.. he has access to outside and two litter trays as he always has.

Can anyone advise how I can help him? Vet has ruled out uti. Should we get another cat? He is almost 2 years old so still young.

Poor thing! My cat cried for 2 weeks after her mum died ( they’d been together for 16 years. Have you tried the feliway plug ins to reduce stress.

unfortunately it may just be he needs time to adjust

Get some pet remedy or feliway. Or another cat.

I thought my bay would be distressed when her sister died. (I took her along) she was not. She never looked back, but visibly relaxed when a new cat was plonked down in the hall in her carrier.

Thank you all. I've been out today and bought a plug in.. Will consider another cat but I'm worried that may stress him more.
