I can't believe the timing. One of our hamsters has died.

I am dreading telling the kids. The youngest has already asked where he is and I have been passing off J as H. I will tell him, I just don't want to yet as he will blurt it out to the others at school.

I feel like poo. I have been so wrapped up with DS1 I forgot to check on them and their food, etc. We still have his brother and the new addition. I thought his brother had died too as it took ages to get him to come out.

I have to go and get them soon.

Shit, ive done this in the past too . Go to the pet shop and get another hamster!!! If you can.

If not, induldge the kids, tell them they can have another pet. Amazing how that will fill a whole poor wee thing

Hope they are ok when you tell them. I'm dreading this, our hamster is getting old.

Haven't told them yet. Been sat in the cold and dark as the carbon monoxide alarm went off and we were told not to turn any thing on or off. Rang back at 3.30 to say we were home and could I cook the kids tea. Told no. Just rang back and she said we could use electricity and it would be another hour. It was the same person, though she is denying it.

Ds is worried about the hamsters getting cold but I haven't said anything as I am hoping to wait until DH is home. Hasn't noticed 1 cage missing.

We have chickened out. Having had a really good couple of days with DS1 we didn't want to cause any upset so I have just been out and bought H mark 2. This one is a girl but you wouild never know.
