Tapeworm came out of my cat this am, sorry if TMI

Last night i treated my cat with spot on wormer as i noticed that he had been not himself lately and was throwing up a lot.
Anyway, this morning when i was feeding him, noticed a massive tapeworm sticking out of his bum.
Did not want him to bring it into the house so put on some rubber gloves and got a tissue and pulled it.
Oh my god! it was over 30 cms long! and 1 cm wide.
Yuck, yuck, yuck!
But he's feeling much better today and is eating like a horse.

What did you do with the worm?

we had this happen. I was nearly sick on the cat.

My cat 'vomited' one up a few weeks ago. I am an emotophobe with a total fear of parasites. Twas not one of my best days

What wormer did you use? You may want to check exactly how efficient it is with your vet as sadly some wormers will not kill all worms present and I would hate to think there may be more in there! A phone call would probably be all you need rather than needing to pay for a consult though.
