My cats stressed! Blood in urine, upset stomach and withdrawn!

Hi I'm wondering if anyone can help me.

Firstly a little back story, this happened before about 4 years ago, the vet didn't know what was happening, kept saying she was going to die. Then sent us to a specialist vet who carried out 6 surgeries on her in total, including giving her a feeding tube. £12K in insurance bills later, we moved house and she went back to normal..

All of her symptoms of being stressed have come back today, and I don't want to take her to the vet yet as I believe it made it 1000 times worse the last time!

What can I do to make her more comfortable/ less stressed? I think I've found the cause for her stress already, the last week we've left one of the blinds in the living room partially open and I believe the neighbours cat has been attacking the window as I can see mud on the outside of the window, and our cat is an indoor cat - so this has been closed straight away.

I have ordered feliaway which we can pick up at 9am, this helped her last time.

And I've ordered the medicated food she was put on last time (c/d) but I can't pick that up until it arrives in store on Sunday!

Do you have any other ideas?

I'm heavily pregnant and an emotional mess, I need to get this sorted as soon as possible, but like I said I think actually taking her to the vet will make this much worse.

I will take her to the vet Monday/tuesday if things don't improve.

Thanks in advance!

My mums cat suffers from this and the vet prescribed him diazepam for when it happens to help relax him he's not a an episode in years though.

Yes, this is the only thing that helped our cat! Cystaid Plus capsules that you open and sprinkle on their food. It’s meat flavoured so designed for cats to like the taste. Start with two per day and reduce to one per day after three weeks. Good luck.

Thank you so much, looking into that now.

I'm really pleased to say I think we are at the end of her issues again - years ago it took us months to get her back under control but we got feliway on Saturday, which helped a little.

And on Sunday her old medicated food (c/d) arrived - forgot how expensive it was! 😯 we refilled all of her treat bags with these biscuits and filled bowls all over the house and tried our best to get her to eat as much of it as she could...

Today is the first day that I've noticed no obvious blood in her urine and she's not running around between litter boxes, which is so amazing.

She does still have a very upset stomach, but I'm not too concerned about this yet as we did change her food, so I'm hoping this will go back to normal over the next couple of days.

Obviously we are keeping an eye on her and will take her to the vet if we think she needs to go, but I will look into the capsules that have been mentioned as I know she will get very stressed soon when our first baby arrives - so need to get them on order asap! 😊
