Stray cats bringing mice to my garden to eat

Hi

Not sure if this is the right forum but an unidentified stray cat keeps bringing mice into my garden to eat. I don’t mind if they ate the full thing but it’s intestine is usually left but over the last 2 days the head and half it’s body has been left and today I’ve seen another one and the Cats just chewed it’s neck to death

how can I stop this from happening?

Not sure that you can stop it. Just find a way to get rid of the remnants without touching etc. I find an empty food tin is perfect. You can just scoop it in without really seeing it too much. Or drop a bit of paper over it first.

And it will get easier as time goes on.

NB do you leave it overnight? I suspect it would get cleared if you did. Nature does that.

You can't stop it. I'd just leave it .

when I came out to the island. the place had been empty for years. My first morning I went to the gate to find a dead rat and my biggest cat grinning ear to ear.
Scooped it with a shovel and threw it into the bog...

Every day the same for a while and one HUGE rat the size of a wellgrown kitten,,,gulp...
Biggest cat took up residence where the ratrun was.
And my neighbour explained it was a ratrun they had used for hundreds of years.
Never a one in the dwelling and they all vanished,
Rodents have runs so the cat in the OP is following the mice where they travel. It should get less in winter.
