Cat won't eat food for kidney disease

Hi there, my elderly cat has been prescribed a renal diet by the vet but won't eat any of the food I've tried. He usually eats kibble and I've tried adding a wet food to this but he just licks all the gravy and now doesn't eat the kibble or the wet food chunks! Such a fussy boy. Would love some advice or food tips if anyone has any? TIA

Royal canin wet and dry renal food are good. I use Royal canin prescription diet for two of my cats (not renal)
Can you mash up the wet food and add a little warm water, the smell of warm food can get their appetite up. Or a little of the renal food with some renal biscuits sprinkled over the top, it works for my ones and they're also fussy.
If you find he enjoys Royal canin, pet drugs online are the cheapest. Buying direct from the vet (I know as I'm a vet nurse!) is costly and you don't need a prescription.
Good luck 😺
