Anyone done this and have any tips, what worked/what didnt? We have a rather timid dog and I want her to be as comfortable as possible, any useful info most welcome 😊

When we came home with ds we let our dogs smell and lick him (took his socks off and offered feet!).
Within a few mins their curiosity was satisfied and they went off on their way!! Whenever they did show interest we didn't push them away we just let them sniff!
Obviously never left unsupervised but had no issues at all.
Ds is 2.8 and I wish you could see him being authoritive and making them sit for treats!!
1 is a huge rotty and he isn't fazed at all!!

I haven't done this but did have cats.
Make any changes (to furniture and routine etc) before baby arrives.
Give pet a safe and quiet space to retreat to away from baby.

Could you utilise the dog?

Doggy could be in charge of bringing nappies and wipes to you.
