My 10 month old cat broke his pelvis and his leg. He had an operation today and the vet says he's doing well.

We get to bring him back home tomorrow. What can I do to help him recover? I have 2 children so will keep them out of the way....any other ideas?

Vet should be able to advise
Ours had to be kept in a cage to stop him jumping while his leg healed

Thanks everyone, he is back home and doing well. He is to be given lots of rest but allowed to walk about. He keeps trying to jump on windowsills so the painkillers he has must be strong!

thanks oops. he went for a check up yesterday and the vet said he was doing very well but that we have to keep him in the house for 4 weeks. he's a very frustrated little cat but i'm breaking the rules and letting him sleep on our bed as it is where he is most still
