My Doggie goes bonkers when the hoover is out and it's getting on my boobs

What can I do? when its on he is chasing it, when its of he is biting it, when I put him in another room he is barking at it.Calling all dog experts. How do I get around this please?

mils dog bites the head as she is hoovering.
one of my labs is sh!t scared of the hoover and she will risk life and limb to get away from the thing.
and ds1, 17m, is obsessed with it and screams blue murder when i put it away.

i think you have to get the help of someone else to distract the dog whilst you do it, like with a ball or something then when you puit the hoover on give the dog the ball or something like that. i cant quite remember. im sure someone else will know.

My dog also goes nuts when the hoover is brought out, barks runs round and snaps at the hose, he hates it. As does DS1, I think as a result of the dog going nuts, DS1 clings on to my leg and starts crying and panicing and wont let me go. DS2 for the moment is ok with the hoover - phew!
