What about a magazine like dogs today or our dogs

poptot · 04/01/2007 13:39

Try the shooting mags, can't think of the names of the top of my head but that's where my mum and dad have advertsised as they're fantastic gun dogs

Macdog · 04/01/2007 16:55

Index here
It has lots of gundog/shooting contacts

Macdog · 04/01/2007 16:55

We already have a springer and are looking for another female. We are more than interested.

Are you a member of the Springer Breed Club? They should have a Puppy Sales List.

Does your bitches breeder have potential buyers on their puppy waiting list - maybe these people would like a pup from you, after all it is from the same line.

Is the stud dog owner helping you find suitable homes - they are as responsible as you for this litter. (Good stud dog owners will also help you with any of the litter that are returned to you if the new owners can't cope with the dog, at any stage in their life).

There are tons of Springer litters out there at the moment, many from champion parents, grandparents etc, and in some areas of the country supply is more than demand.

Also are the pups KC registered? £300 is a reasonably good price for a KC Springer. If the aren't KC reg then £150 would be more like it. Don't panic yet, you still have 4 weeks before the pups are old enough to leave you. Good Luck

rosylizzie, I have sent you an email.

girrafey · 07/01/2007 15:03

hi there. could you send me an email with more detail please aswell and some pics.
to be honest could only afford £150 mark so undertsnd if they are kc registered and you are thinking of more. just want to be honest up front. as cant afford more that that as would have to travel for a while aswell. hope to hear from you.

bubblerock · 07/01/2007 15:26

Are you going to get your bitch spayed after this litter? If you are struggling to find homes maybe there isn't a demand, plus people buying pups aren't rescuing the dogs already in the dogs homes. I grew up with a springer and they are very energetic - I hope you find good homes for them (any chance of posting a pic, I bet they are soooo cute)

rosylizzie · 08/01/2007 18:52

thanks for all your help, found homes for them all now and they are only 5 weeks tomorrow so have the security of knowing they are all going at 7 weeks
really pleased with the range of people we've got for them
will def do it again, dh is quite tearful about letting them go even though he's been laughing at me worrying about not finding homes for them "we're a 4 child 2 dog family, we can be a 5 child ( am 12 weeks pg) 9 dog family and it will serve you right were his supportive words!"
thanks again
