I am really sad and I have to tell DD (8) as well

I didn't think they were old enough fro the injection - so I feel really neglectful too

Crap day all round

My rabbits not had any injections.Didn't realise it needed to[thick emoticon].
Sorry to hear about yours. When ds2's guineau pig died i said he had become a star so now ds2 looks into the sky at night to say hello to cookie!

Aw that's lovely

Do get your rabbit innoculated - Chestnut and shadow have had very short lives and it's my fault

Will look into it.Bet it costs a fortune and i cant afford it at the moment. Its so sad that vets charge such huge prices for a pet.

Katymac · 15/07/2006 00:26

I paid £36 to get one put down and now have to pay the same for the next one

Im going to phone my vets monday morning.Jabs must be cheaper than the loss of a loved pet and huge bill for putting it to sleep.
Hope your dd takes it ok.

Katymac that's so sad I'm so sorry to hear that. I'm dreading the day our dog dies, she's getting so old now and the ds's are terribly attached to her. Love the idea of the star tortoise.

They are going to give the other rabbit antibiotics to see if they can save him - I still hven't told DD

do you know how they caught it? do you live in a rural area?

Katymac · 15/07/2006 10:23

They think it's insect borne - yes I am in a rural area (however - I unfortunatley didn't realise how much of a problem it was)

i just read they can catch it from mosquito bites, and fleas in the hay, sorry for your bunnies

Katymac · 25/07/2006 08:35
