My god this is a long shot but well worth a try. Lost Dog in Barnsley!!

I know theres been a few of people coming on here from Barnsley so it's worth a shot.

This morning when I set off to playgroup I had a gorgeous dog at the bottom of my drive.
I'm guessing from looking at him he's a cross between a Boxer and a Staff. He's mainly white with a grey speckled patch on one side and his ears are the same.
He had no collar on but was looking quite thin

He had a lovely disposition, very friendly. I was going to put him in my garden till I got back but I thought that he might get a bit distressed and do something bad so I just left him and thought if he was still about when I got back I would keep him and call the RSPCA.

Like the title said it's a long shot but if anyone knows someone, it's got to be worth it.

Can you ring the local vets Nbg? Somebody might have reported him lost.

No he wasn't there

Am totally gutted, wish I'd have taken in him when I saw him first thing.
I just hope someone else has seen him and looked after him.

It was pelting down with rain here so he must be all cold and wet.

I could call the RSPCA and the council tomorrow.

My mum's neighbour had a boxer stolen two weeks ago. The b***ds had broken his leg and had dumped him in a ditch near a farm in Great Houghton. The farmer found him when he heard wimpering and reported to the police.
It has cost £800 in vet bills to fix him - the cheaper option was to have his leg amputated!!

I'm still on the lookout for him.

Theres a good chance he could be around as we have alot of farm land and a bit of waste land around us.

put some food out?

I could do but we have a resident Fox so chances are he'll come and eat it!

I put nailed some rind off a gammon joint to our fence in the garden for the birds the other week but that night Mr Fox decided he was having it and jumped over our 6ft fence to get it!

We've left food out for the hedgehogs and he's always got there first.

If it's p-ing down with rain, chances are he's hiding somewhere drier and may reappear later. When it's stopped raining, maybe go for a look with a tasty treat to tempt him with?

I've got a friend coming round in a bit and we were going to have a walk to the pub for lunch so will arm myself with treats!

Any more sightings of him NBG?

My sister has adopted several strays like this. She has 3 dogs at the moment! She cannot set foot inside a dog rescue place for fear of coming home with more.

I don't suppose he's just gone home?
