Little bit desperate - need to get my cat in a carrier to take him to the vet

But its just impossible! I am scratched to ribbons.

He has always been extremely difficult. He hates being picked up.

I just don't know how to do it!

Any ideas?

Can I buy a sedative to give him at home before even attempting to get him to the vet?

Wrap him up in a towel or blanket and bundle him in.
Phone your vet for advice re the sedative, don't know if you can buy any or it needs to be supplied by the et.

Oh just seen your message. Thank you for replying! As it happens he was so poorly by the time we got a vets appointment that he didn't put up his usual level of resistance.

He has an abscess on his paw and is staying at the vets to have it drained under ga. Poor old boy Sad.
