Im still a blubbering idiot

milo was a 10month old beautiful kitten. My friend saw it happen and saw how gentle the driver was placing him on the pavement.

It helps knowing he died on impact in a way, at least he wasnt in pain.

I havent told the dc, they are too young to know anyway.

His brother, oscar, is missing him, roaming around the garden miaowing for him.

Oh I'm so sorry. Chloe, my lovely girl was run over and a fab neighbour took her to the vets. I felt terrible. I hadn't had her that long but they have a way of getting into our hearts don't they?

It's a real shock when it happens. Make sure you have a good cry and just think that Milo had a lovely life with you.

trainsetter · 02/08/2010 17:53

I am so sorry.

At least the driver was kind in his action after he had hit him, it sounds like it was a genuine accident rather than someone driving dangerously.

RIP Milo.

Oh poor you. I've lost two lovely cats the same way - one was only 6 months old. It's very hard - cats need lots of independence and they are very inquisitve (hence curiosity killed the cat!) and many many young cats have bad experiences with cars - unfortunately some don't live to tell the tale. the ones who have an early scrape tend to learn some road sense pretty quick.

Console yourself with the thought that it was a very quick (and probably painless) death and he lived the life of Riley up until then.

I;m so sorry and like you are thankful that at least it was sudden and swift. Don't know what to suggest apart from doing something/going somewhere that might take your mind off it a little.

Thinking of you,

Val x
