Mudchute Farm

Tower Hamlets council, under Mayor Rahman are refusing to extend the lease for the much loved Mudchute City Park and Farm.
Mudchute, with the previous administration, we're about to sign a 99 year lease extension, then overnight that opportunity disappeared.
There is now a petition to the council to extend the lease for a modest 30 years, giving the Farm breathing space to continue doing what they do best and be that green oasis in the middle of the most impoverished borough.

Unfortunately, the council will only consider signatures from those who live, work or study in the borough. Fortunately, it's as simple as ticking a box confirming that you do.

So please, if you care about green space, biodiversity, animal welfare, rare breed farming, opportunities for kids to run around and see countryside scenes in the heart of London, give this your signature.

That’s shocking. I’ve been. It’s such a vitally important place in an area where many children (and adults!) don’t or can’t have contact with animals and farm animals.

Incredible isn't it.

It's just political for no good reason.
