Maybe it's because if the increased fears that titanium is a potential neurotoxin. While titanium is largely believed to be non toxic and perfectly safe for medical use, a cursory google will show that there are many studies around this.

Metanium is awful and burned my son and caused allergic reaction all over his body within minutes of applying the cream. I want to sue this company becuase it burned him when I was told it was safer then Sudacream and better. Lies.

We used metanium without issue and it was a miracle for nappy rash but completely understand @MixedBananas point, and harms caused by substances aren't always as immediately apparent.
