Hat tip @imnobody4 and many others. Currently the baseline sentence for domestic murders is a 15 year term. If you are killed in the streets the baseline starting sentence is 25 years.

This isn't true. The baseline for both is 15 years.

I've had a look. The baseline is being increased from 15 to 25 years for perpetrators taking a weapon to the scene of a crime, but this is currently the thing being consulted on for whether it should apply in domestic killing
