Context:

On January 25th this year, three councillors - Morgan, Golby, and Hammersley - were recorded stating that SEN children should be institutionalized and not given much funding as they are "unable to be helped". This discriminatory viewpoint is unacceptable from those who hold public office. Their words reflect a broader issue within our council where SEN funding is regarded as a last priority.

According to the National Autistic Society UK, over 1 in every 100 children have some form of autism spectrum disorder (ASD). These children require specialized education services tailored to their individual needs. Yet due to inadequate funding allocation by councils like ours across the country, these services remain inaccessible for many families.

We demand that Warwickshire Council immediately dismiss Councillors Morgan, Golby, and Hammersley for their discriminatory remarks against SEN children. Furthermore, we insist on an immediate review of how SEN funding is prioritized within the council's budget allocations.
