I have worked in drugs education for over forty years, and did not think any new way of selling drugs to children was likely. How wrong I was, because big-tobacco have found the ideal solution to adults quitting smoking by their millions.
Target the kids with nicotine, the highly addictive stimulant that has addicted billions across the work for over 400 years.
Unbelievably our government has chosen to allow virtually anyone to sell these products without even a tobacco license. They are age restricted to 18 but that has done nothing to stop children as young as 11 from vaping.
Children are not adults, their lungs and bodies are smaller and as they breathe faster than adults they pulling higher doses of nicotine deeper into their lungs. We now know that one in three child vapers are moving on to smoking.
If you have children or grandchildren or care for or work with children I hope you will consider signing my UK wide petition to change the laws URGENTLY.
