Hi everyone,
Would you like some unelected bureaucrat with no accountability who you cannot vote out of office if they make a giant mistake make critical decisions over you, your children and your freedoms?

Well hold your breath because in 6 months, a few amendments to international health regulations by the World Health Organization (WHO) will make the head of that organization have the power to force countries to comply with their obligatory "recommendations"

Previously (and during the pandemic) the WHO simply made recommendations and countries got to decide whether to follow them or not. In 6 months, the amendments that have been proposed will go into effect and new powers will be granted to the head of that organization to:

  1. Declare emergencies
  2. Require countries to enact laws to comply with their "recommendations"
  3. Declare an emergency even if it hasn't occurred yet (preventative)

Amongst these there were many more amendments, one of them was to one of the regulations where - and I thought it was a joke when I heard about it - they crossed out the requirement that implementation of the regulations "shall be with full respect for the dignity, human rights and fundamental freedoms of persons" and in stead they changed it to "based on the principles of equity, inclusivity"

meaning that they can take away your dignity and human rights, so long as they do it in an equitable and inclusive manner.

Amazing, right?

no?

If you think there should at least a debate on the topic, please sign this petition:

I wish I was a better communicator to somehow make more people understand how the passing of these rules could affect you and your children in very real and significant ways.

Petition: Hold a parliamentary vote on whether to reject amendments to the IHR 2005

We are concerned that Parliament has not discussed and will not have a say on the 307 proposed amendments to the International Health Regulations, AND the amendments to 5 Articles of the IHR that were ADOPTED by the 75th World Health Assembly on 27 May...
