The government announced a couple of days ago it is massively reducing the funding given to the English National Opera (ENO), unless the ENO moves outside of London, its current base.
I went to see my first ever opera at the ENO a few years ago and loved it (brilliant production, reasonably priced ticket, subtitles provided for audience, good seats etc.)
The ENO serves a fantastic purpose (more serials of its amazing work in the petition link below). I really don’t want it to feel pressured to move elsewhere in the UK, because of threats to reduce its funding.
