Petition for carers

Hiya im sorry if I've posted this in the wrong place however I think I've got it right.... there's an active petition that doesn't appear to have generated much interest... its hoping to increase carers allowance for the carers out there... I'm hoping it might get some interest from here thanks for reading

As a cater I'd love to sign but it says that due to the death of the Queen petitions have been suspended for now! No idea why we can't keep on signing but there it is!

Yeah, I always miss these things too. I did send a message to Benefits and Work with a link to the petition asking if they’d be allowed to send it out to their subscribers. I’m subscribed to them and depend on their email newsletters quite a bit for news on Disability benefits and work issues.

Aww brilliant hopefully we might be able to get some where with it. I wonder if the local SEN play centre we use would also be able to advertise. I never thought I'll get in touch with them.

Definitely signing I have two children on dla but only allowed to claim Carers for one And it’s ridiculously tiny amount

I know it's really poor just fingers crossed we can finally get somewhere and get the word out there for us.

Not only should it be increased but it should also not be deducted from UC payments

I'm with you completely. It's an awful system that's been set up. I'm holding out well get somewhere hut I think it's unlikely to get to 100k in time
