IMO it would be better to have 2 different petitions for cost and availability.
Quite a few women use private meno clinics, and will continue to pay for their HRT, but the shortages are an issue regardless of how women pay.

@suesoso that website you have left doesn't seem to exist. It comes up as something else and says it's an insecure site open to potential hackers.

The name has changed today to menopausemandate.com & menopausemandate on instagram due to manifesto being the same name as a book written by a US Dr who complained to them.

@JinglingHellsBells yes I agree there's more to it than costs. Think they are starting a campaign to start lobbying govmt more & to put pressure on them to fulfill their promises. More to come I'm sure! x

It is the correct website as they've just changed the name from yesterday it'll take a few days for it to become up & secure again. Not a good start but hopefully fixed soon😵‍💫🤞

@RitaFaircloughsWig I doubt signing a petition is going to do anything TBH and it needs 100s of thousands before it even gets discussed in parliament. For most women the prescription cost is not the issue, as long as they get 3 or 6 months worth at once which is a GP practice issue.

I’m currently being prescribed a bottle of gel at a time. I’m signing up for prepaid, the cost is mounting up for me. I was getting 3 bottles originally so I wasn’t too put out.

Hi OP,

Thanks for highlighting this issue. We are moving this thread to the Petitions board as this is where we allow petitions to posted.

Best,
MNHQ

I don't think a petition will solve this. The current issue is one of supply. No single woman will be given a year's supply at the moment. The 'delay' seems to be inline with manufacturing capabilities.

The manufacturers are fully aware and giving statements like "We are currently supplying almost twice as much producat as we were this time last year [after the Davina McCall TV documentary] and are working to increase supplies further, as quickly as possible"

thebms.org.uk/news/british-menopause-society-update-on-hrt-supply/

The BMS also make suggestions for alternatives and provide dosage recommendations.

A petition will change none of that, market forces are already doing the job.
