Several local DV charities are set to close, and/or lose funding.

I'm sure I don't need to stress how vital these are to women (and sometimes men) in need of their services.

They're encouraged to leave, even sometimes threatened with the removal of their children if they don't, and. Now they're closing down refuge centres. Not everyone has got family they can stay with.

I have emailed this to my local MP and will be attending the gathering on Monday.

I can only hope that somehow this mess is overturned so lives need not be lost needlessly.
