My friends need Mumsnet's help. Desperately.

My friends Chris and Michelle tried for a baby for many many years, suffered heartbreak after heartbreak after heartbreak.
Earlier this year their dreams came true when they had Lily, a beautiful baby born with the help of a lovely surrogate in India. Lily is Chris' biological daughter.
But now they can't get Lily home to the UK. The passport office have still not issued Lily's UK passport and my friends have been given a deadline of October 7th to leave the country. With or without their baby daughter.
It is unimaginable that now their dream has come true that they risk being separated from her.

And if anyone out there can help with legal advice / promoting the story etc I know they would be so so grateful. As would I. I can only imagine what they must be going through xxx

Never mind. I just read that they arrived in the UK on the 24th September.
