Broomwood Hall has bought a new building which it wants to use as a girls Senior School but it needs support to get the necessary change of use permission from the Council to go ahead. There's a petition to show support ... e-petition here.
Quite aside from the merits of the new school itself, as anyone who has been following the SW London 11+ threads will know, competition for independent school places in the area is reaching melting point so an extra 120 places could ease pressure across the board.
It would also give local parents the option of a senior school closer to home rather than their daughters having to commute out to Dulwich, Putney, Wimbledon etc... as many do now.
