This rape culture, I'm sure it is linked to the way women are represented in popular culture. Namely music videos. And, sometimes, women themselves are fuelling it by participating.

I often have this argument with younger female family members. Their answer is always "but sex sells that's how it is." In the same vein as you I think lets say "racism sells" or "bigotry sells". Then it's clear how abhorrent it all it.
