To ask you to sign this Change.org petition re: denying Julien Blanc a UK Visa

QweenCnut · 13/11/2014 17:10

To allow this man into the UK legitimises sexual assault and predation, and sends a message that women are playthings or objects without agency.

Thank you.

we have had a change.org petition in Japan - 40,000 signatures to date.
This vile person has officially now taken Tokyo off his schedule - but there are still worries that he will enter Japan anyway.

makes me so angry - I have a 17 year old daughter and it makes it sick that she could be a target for these so-called PUAs on the streets of Tokyo Angry

Got99problems · 14/11/2014 13:14

Done. DM actually got something right for once and are promoting this too.

carlsonrichards · 14/11/2014 13:19

Signed. What he is doing is hate speech. He advocates assault on people. His body should be kept the hell out of here.

carlsonrichards · 14/11/2014 13:20

Racist scumbag, too.

Bakeoffcakes · 14/11/2014 13:22

I agree carl.

He promotes assault, surely that's illegal? Confused

Bimblepops · 14/11/2014 13:30

Signed and shared.

BoreOfWhabylon · 14/11/2014 20:36

The pressure's mounting.

Home Office minister Lynn Featherstone and Labour's Yvette Cooper now calling for him to be denied a visa

Please sign, if you haven't already.

For Mumsnet officials- I came on to Mumsnet this morning purposely in the hope I would find this 'subject matter' so I could add my name to a petition. I did expect it to be on the home page but instead had to search. Confining this thread to 'petitions' will not get anywhere near the passing trade it warrants. How about pinning it on your home page?

Bakeoffcakes · 15/11/2014 09:47

They still need another 28,000 people to sign.

MN should absolutely have this on their home page!

Spadequeen · 15/11/2014 09:59

Signed. Horrible disgusting excuse for a man

FryOneFatManic · 15/11/2014 10:01

I saw this originally before it was moved to petitions, it really does need to have higher prominence.

I've shared as well as signed, and I'm also speaking to people face to face.

Got99problems · 15/11/2014 11:47

bumping, as its a bit hidden now

BoreOfWhabylon · 15/11/2014 12:53

Hi MNHQ - please consider making this thread more prominent.

Optimist1 · 15/11/2014 13:11

Done, and shared.

BoreOfWhabylon · 15/11/2014 14:38

carlsonrichards · 15/11/2014 15:59

Free speech for all citizens is important, but we're not obliged to invite such people into our country.

winkywinkola · 16/11/2014 07:25

Signed. Facebook. Bump.

Got99problems · 17/11/2014 11:44

bumping again

winkywinkola · 17/11/2014 22:12

BUMP

MaryWestmacott · 17/11/2014 22:18

signed.

hmm, where is he supposed to be appearing? If there's fear of a video live link, surely we could arrange to petition the venues hosting him? Get local papers involved talking to each and every venue... raise local awareness about where he's supposed to be talking...

maxmissie · 17/11/2014 22:22

Done

Andrewofgg · 19/11/2014 16:37

According to Sky he will be refused a visa. Success!

MaryWestmacott the owners of venues may not want to break their contracts if he appears there by video instead of in his own unlovely person.
