To ask you to sign this Change.org petition re: denying Julien Blanc a UK Visa

QweenCnut · 13/11/2014 17:10

To allow this man into the UK legitimises sexual assault and predation, and sends a message that women are playthings or objects without agency.

Thank you.

Thankyou for sharing this, OP. I've been on the receiving end of the type of "skills" this arsehole teaches.

Whatisaweekend · 13/11/2014 18:38

Hadn't heard of this douche. Good grief! Have signed the petition. Thank you for alerting me to this.

Vivacia · 13/11/2014 18:44

Is this how visas work? Seriously I mean, does public opinion decide?

LokiBear · 13/11/2014 18:48

Already signed. I read about it at the weekend and I'm still not quite over my rage.

PrettyPictures92 · 13/11/2014 18:48

Vivacia my understanding is that 100,000 signatures forces a parliamentary debate.

Heard about him on Radio 4 this morning. What scum! How can incitement to sexually assault not be illegal?

Petition now has 97,580 supporters !

YonicScrewdriver · 13/11/2014 18:57

Signed.

A petition will prompt the Home Secretary to get officials to scrutinise his application more closely.

Vivacia · 13/11/2014 18:58

Thanks Qween, your link refers to a petition for that to be the case (I think) not that it is the case.

Vivacia · 13/11/2014 18:59

Ah, 100 000 signatures means that it must be considered for debate.

fluffyraggies · 13/11/2014 19:08

Signed.

CruCru · 13/11/2014 19:11

Done.

Hmmmwhatnow · 13/11/2014 19:12

Signed but tbh there are so many of these petitions floating around I doubt their usefulness.

FryOneFatManic · 13/11/2014 19:13

I heard about this yesterday, and signed already.

I heard even the DM supports a ban.

Andrewofgg · 13/11/2014 19:16

He can appear by video-link - nothing to prevent that - and that put himself across as a victim of political persecution. Not sure that would help.

ThreeQuartersEmpty · 13/11/2014 19:24

Done

reddaisy · 13/11/2014 19:31

Done, the Ched Evans petition has made a difference already as some sponsors have pulled out which is something so signing these things are worthwhile.

Honeycrumb · 13/11/2014 19:33

Done.

mineallmine · 13/11/2014 19:33

Done, although signing from Ireland so don't know if it will count. Scumbag.

YonicScrewdriver · 13/11/2014 19:35

Andrew, his visa for Australia has been revoked, he can make pissy videos from his own country about that already if he likes.
