Is the average really 43 weeks at 90% pay?

Personally I'd prefer a petition for paternity pay at 90% for 2-6 weeks...

Yes . Some European countries have 90% for the first year.

Belarus are in the EU. they get 126 days paid (140 if there are medical complications) & 3 years unpaid. That's only around 4 months paid leave.

Thanks nick, that is a really interesting article. I see that the Tuc are calling for more paternity pay for men and that the survey is about countries paying at 65% or more of full pay.

I didn't know quite how far down the league table we were though!
