That expression to 'juche, juche' it up, like enhancing or making it something more than it is.
I hear it being said but is that how you would spell it?

Over to you.

Juice?

controlfreakery · 14/06/2010 14:06

do you mean juju (means same as your def.).

jalopy · 14/06/2010 14:09

No, not juice, more like 'juj, juj'. Difficult pronunciation to describe. It's probably a made up slang expression.

I always presumed it was a French word.

Iklboo · 14/06/2010 14:12

I know the word you mean - damn difficult to spell. Joosh?

BessieBoots · 14/06/2010 14:13

I know what you mean too- like a french person would pronounce juj.

jalopy · 14/06/2010 14:13

Yes, lynette, it has a french sound to it.

I had never heard it before Queer Eye for the Straight Guy. I've never seen it written down, but if I had to guess I'd say zhoozh.

Esmee · 14/06/2010 21:12

Zhuzh?

AgentProvocateur · 14/06/2010 22:21

It's zhoosh see here

seeker · 14/06/2010 22:24

I don't know how to spell it, but I have always assumed it was a Yiddish word, llike so many incredibly apt colloqialismz - like chutzpah!

jalopy · 15/06/2010 06:46

Well done, I think it must be zhuzh or zhoosh.

Heard Brix Wotsit say it on Gok's programme this week.

EricNorthmansmistress · 22/06/2010 22:09

zhoosh, it's a polari word.
