Hi

I really need the help of all you wordsmiths with the wording of an important letter I am writing for dh.

His boss has been making his life hell and so we are attempting to address issue this through the company?s grievance procedures. We want to find a way of saying that his boss is setting him up to fail but ideally we would like to find a less confrontational way of wording this.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated
TIA

Sorry to hear about your DH's work problems. In your letter would you be able to include examples, and ideally dates, of what has been happening? If you say "my boss is setting me up to fail" then that will be disputed as it is not specific enough unless you provide evidence to back up your claim.

Thanks coffee. We have included examples to back this up. We were trying to keep the tone of the letter as non-confrontational as possible whilst still making a good case if that makes sense. Its done + sent now so fingers crossed.

Could you phrase it as his boss is not adequately supporting him in achieving set goals by not giving training or whatever?
