Because I do! I hate it! I love the topic, and am pretty anal about my own spelling and grammar, but I just know that this will be the topic I am guaranteed to make a stupid, embarrassing typo!

Well, you are braver than me - I would never dare to!!

You are all a scarey lot!!

UndertheBoredWalk · 01/05/2010 07:04

Yes yes! me too. It's terrifying posting in here.

whomovedmychocolate · 01/05/2010 07:14

I'm very tempted to post one called: 'feckin' pendants make me sick'

frakkinnuts · 01/05/2010 07:15

Yes. It's the only topic where I proof-read my posts before posting!

Even though it's not exactly foolproof it's stopped me making a few silly fast-typing mistakes.

whomovedmychocolate · 01/05/2010 07:16

In fact I did Let's see who will bite!

piscesmoon · 01/05/2010 07:26

I would have to proof read first. I normally just press submit and then see all the mistakes. Sometimes they are bad enough to correct and sometimes I just leave them. I generally type too fast for punctuation.

MortaIWombat · 01/05/2010 08:35

Is this whole thread an elaborate push for "Erasing David"? Cos I was going to see it anyway, y'know.

MortaIWombat · 01/05/2010 09:19

Shit! Wrong thread. Sorry!

WingedVictory · 04/05/2010 22:27

Yes, I do proof-read before posting in this topic! It's the only bit of MN in which someone can be guaranteed a merciless put-down for poor grammar and/or spelling.... although it does happen in other areas, when someone is being insufferable.

I'm glad the spelling and grammar do represent an Issue for some people; it makes me happy to live in such a world.

MortaIWombat · 05/05/2010 21:37

Pleasing use of the semicolon there, WingedVictory.

WingedVictory · 06/05/2010 13:17

Thank you, AwesomeWellies! Recently, I was told off in a writing group, for over-use of semicolons. I do like them, though; they are nice!

BTW, did you find your other thread?

sethstarkaddersmum · 06/05/2010 13:20

yes, and quite rightly too, because last time I did it I was wrong
