Oh, tesco <grr>

I must say in my defence first that I rarely go in. But I needed a coffee and they have costa. All the way up the sides of the escalator are, apparently, "faux cushions". Not faux fur, oh no. AIBU to take a flask next time so I needn't go in?

That's horrendous.

What are they really then, if not cushions?

We had a holiday rep once who was wittering on during our coach transfer and kept mentioning 'fox fur' seat covers on the sleigh ride we were going to go on (skiing holiday). Everyone was just looking a bit , until eventually one man twigged that she meant faux fur and just couldnt pronounce it!!

(she later that holiday told us about a cafe in the next village that had lovely 'gatuxxes')

I was also wondering what fake cushions were...

Perhaps there was a mixture of faux fur and faux suede so they decided to miss out the fabric name? [ever hopeful emoticon]

A brand new tesco is being built in our local town.

The hoardings are full of marketing posters - for example - "Your new coffee shop will be open July 2010".

One of the signs states "We are reducing energy consumption at this Tesco store" or words to that effect.

WTF? How can you reduce energy consumption in a store that has yet to be built?
