I started a sentence with But.

Then I started a sentence with And.

What was I thinking?

'Jerusalem' starts with 'And' FGS. If Blake can get that past the whole WI, I think you can be forgiven.

Indeed, nothing at all wrong with either, providing the rest of the sentence is appropriate.

Starting a sentence with "and " or "but" belongs to rhetoric rather than writing, but as MN is a "Talk" forum, surely rhetoric is acceptable?
