Never posted on here before but am fed up with DM's preachy style - so when I saw this glaring error today I was astounded at the quality of the journalists they are employing.

can you spot it?

Would you draw the DM's attention to it?

Is that a bit sad and do I need to 'get a life'?

I am having an off day - you'll have to point out the glaring error.

Obv the DM gets heaps wrong as a matter of course. Allegedly.

squeaver · 22/01/2010 21:34

Don't see it either.

[might be the wine emoticon]

edam · 22/01/2010 21:36

Do you mean you think it should be three feet nine inches? Three foot is accepted usage.

epithet · 22/01/2010 21:37

Passer-bys?

epithet · 22/01/2010 21:39

And 'Daily Mail Gets It Wrong' would def NEVER be a story to stop the presses for .

edam · 22/01/2010 21:42

Well done epithet, of course it should be 'passers by'. That's what you get when the newspaper industry decides to sack all the subs, though.

chaostrulyreigns · 22/01/2010 21:43

Well done epithet. Would you like a big tin of Roses (leftover from Christmas but unopened?)

Shall I tell them?

Do they get it wrong lots?

oooh good spot

squeaver · 22/01/2010 21:45

Ah yes. Good for you.

hf128219 · 22/01/2010 21:48

Does anyone have the balls to pick up some of the 'get it wrongs' on here? They are sooooo much worse than the journos at the DM.

chaostrulyreigns · 22/01/2010 21:53

HF128219 - Think I'd rather not do that as I feel people of many different abilities and levels of 'botheredness' post on here, but I do feel a national newspaper should GET IT RIGHT!

Also - I have seen you on other threads and always wondered about your catchy name. If it's not too impertinent please could you enlighten me? [curious]

Another one here:

"The father of the 11-year-old victim described the attempts to reign in the hell boys as 'scandalous'"

They do it all the time. I've commented twice, but my comments have mysteriously disappeared during moderation. There's a thread on digital spy - they are a laughing stock.

hf128219 · 22/01/2010 22:03

My name is like 007

chaostrulyreigns · 22/01/2010 22:10

verygood hf.

Altough as a fellow pedant I assume you also blame Ian Fleming for starting the awfulness that is o-o-seven and not zero-zero-seven.

Unless anyone else knows how that started?

My name is unique. Like Q.

chaostrulyreigns · 22/01/2010 22:18

Ooooh Feenie I like that link.
