Yesterday on the BBC news there was a report about the poor lady "killed by a river".

And today on the side of a bus, some company/product selling t-shirts/tops (sorry was mesmerised by the tagline) where "10% of your purchase is donated to charity".

In a review of moisturisers in Observer Woman I was told to beware moisturisers with a high water content because "water is very drying". Really? Water?

which river was it? i want to avoid it

thisisyesterday · 20/01/2010 20:10

my biggest bugbear atm is sale signs which declare

"up to half price"

when what they mean to say is "up to half price (off the original price" or, to put it differently "up to 50% off"

I'm not sure which of the many rivers in the UK has homicidal tendancies. Again, I was so busy bemoaning the deterioration of editorial standards I lost track of what they were actually saying.

Hassled haven't you heard about the drying properties of water? Me neither, I think physics must have changed since my day [old gimmer]
