...email I was sent from my milkman today:

Hello,

You may have noticed it?s a little chilly outside, so we wanted to drop you a note to say? your milkman will always endeavour to deliver to you ? whatever the weather.

But if you?re in one of the highly effected areas your milkman might not be able to get through the blizzards and snowstorms to get to you. Rest assured you will not be charged for any missed deliveries and he?ll get to you as soon as it?s possible.

Effected - surely affected!?

Yes, but what a sweet email!

GrimmaTheNome · 07/01/2010 15:17

yes, should be 'affected'. But as it seems to have correct apostrophes I wouldn't be too hard.

Its from a milkman - not a neurosurgeon.

Poledra · 07/01/2010 15:21

nickschick, what makes you think a neurosurgeon would have a better grasp of grammar? Most neurosurgeons I know can barely write

nickschick · 07/01/2010 15:21

Lmao dont be so ermmmm pedantic ....

thumbwitch · 07/01/2010 15:23

such a pity they got that wrong - the rest of it was so good!

still not as annoying as all these bloody thread titles with "loose weight" in...

In my GPs they had an information board headed 'anti natal' care.....

And I counted 13 spelling errors on a leaflet promoting a local childrens nursery .
