Please forgive my apparent stupidity, but is it Coll-er-ridge, Cole-ridge or something else because I don't have a clue.

Heathcliffscathy · 25/08/2009 10:49

Coal ridge.

And I should know. He was an ancestor of mine I'll have you know! Dad and DB have Coleridge as one of their middle names

NightShoe · 25/08/2009 11:28

Oh! Now I am all confused again!

Ponders · 25/08/2009 11:57

Orm's coal ridge & Mrs B's COH- l'-ridge sound the same, don't they?

MrsBadger · 25/08/2009 13:03

I voice the L, jsut sligthtly

OrmIrian · 25/08/2009 13:08

Having said that I never met the guy in person. He may well have pronounced his name Blenkinsop for all I know

thumbwitch · 25/08/2009 13:16

I say it the same as MrsBadger does.

GrimmaTheNome · 25/08/2009 13:23

It would depend what he was on at the time, Orm.

OrmIrian · 25/08/2009 13:47

Indeed grimma!
