What? Not pressing control when they tried to type the 1? Is it that?

Lol

kittywise · 20/08/2009 19:20

God, how can the basic difference be so difficult to understand? I see it everywhere nowadays

GirlsAreLoud · 20/08/2009 19:58

God no wonder people make mistakes if pedants can't actually be bothered to explain what they're smirking at.

What is it please? Is it the & sign?

kittywise · 20/08/2009 20:06

no it's the your

EccentricaUsesTheDMForBogRoll · 20/08/2009 20:06

tis a mix up between commonly used and mixed up words involving a lack of an apostrophe in the right place. shocking.

courtneylovescox · 20/08/2009 20:10

i thought is was the !5% off

UnquietDad · 20/08/2009 20:13

People irritate me SO much when they get this wrong. Pretty soon it'll be used more than the correct version and the revisionists will be all over it claiming that this "common usage" by the pig-ignorant now means that it is "right".

It's what we have seen happen with "nevermind", and to a lesser extent with "publically" (ugh, I feel dirty just typing it).

UndomesticHousewife · 29/08/2009 02:01

I thought it was the its' instead of it's.

jasper · 29/08/2009 02:06

undomesticatedHousewife that's what I thought.
Is there more?

naeb1 · 29/08/2009 02:16

madameDefarge · 29/08/2009 02:21

is it not dilemna? sorry, couldn't look for more than a moment...is there there more?

vanimal · 29/08/2009 03:23

I thought it was 'Whats you favourite slow cooker recipes' instead of 'What are...'

HecatesTwopenceworth · 29/08/2009 07:36

I thought it was its' as well.

Oh well, never mind. we have too many on here with poor grammar and text speak and 'lol'ing all over the place to start laughing at Netmums!

oopsacoconut · 29/08/2009 07:43

I thought dilema had 2 'm's? I'm not even a pedant!

chaostrulyreigns · 28/01/2010 22:34

eatsshootsleaves · 01/02/2010 22:21
