Spot the missing apostrophe, on the title of a London alleged newspaper

Yesterday the North West one was screaming about 2.2 million out of work in 'jobs carnage'.
Now my dictionary defines carnage as:

  1. Massive slaughter, as in war; a massacre.
  2. Corpses, especially of those killed in battle

or

  1. extensive slaughter of people
  2. a heap of dead bodies; men slain in a battle
  3. bloodshed

Not terms one would normally associate with jobless figures?

This person actually killed 2 students, if it's the case I'm thinking of, so technically they can get away with that title I think.

They are a "students killer", or a killer of students. Although really it would be much better as students' so I do agree with you mostly!
